I used to work near this location and I always popped in, the staff and volunteers are so wonderful so caring and so kind. You have to visit. However, if you’re weak, make sure you take a friend that won’t let you leave with all the animals. They’re so cute. Why not visit maybe you can find your forever friend. SPCA here doing a great job. They really try their best. I think these little animals are like little people.

Mazie aka Lavender was there just 15 days before her gotcha day when we brought our sweet girl home. She did have kennel cough but was medicated for it and made a miraculous recovery. She was only 14 weeks when we adopted her and has grown so so much since. We plan to bring her up to let everyone see her but she's not going inside, don't want her catching anything. We did do a dna test on her. She's not a Labrador Retriever mix at all. She's a black Belgian Malinois/American Pitbull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier mix puppy and they determined her birthday is January 7, 2026. A little advice, please be honest about the breeds of these dogs. Luckily, my apartment manager/landlord allows Pitbull mixes here but many don't. All the ones you have listed as Labrador Retriever or hound, those all have pitbull in them. You can tell by the ears and bodily structure. What has probably already happened is people come in and adopted a dog/pup that has pitbull in them, gets them home then has to re-home them because they were lied to about the breed of the dog. Lorain County where we live is very cool with people having bully breeds but there's a ton that aren't. Tried to post a photo of Mazie aka Lavender but it's not giving me an option
