Banfield Pet Hospital

I came in too renew my cats prescription for his pet food prescription, and Jackie the old lady working the desk was not helpful at all, and was very argumentative and was trying too send me home without food that my cat needs..: I don’t understand how a pet hospital can do that.. I talked too one of the supervisors and she was very helpful and made sure I was able too leave with the prescription food I needed, so at least you have 1 employee that cares about animals!

CRAP!! I am writing this review for my mother who is 83. Her elderly dog needed an expensive x-ray so it was brought up that she could upgrade her current insurance, which she agreed. Unfortunately, her doggie passed away 17 days later, and she called to cancel the insurance and was told she owed over $900. The issue is that no one told her she would be in a NEW 12-month contract. She’s had this insurance for 13 years and feels that PetSmart in Parma took advantage of her. If she had known it was ultimately going to cost $900, she would have simply paid for the service instead of investing in a 1-year contract for a sick, elderly dog who was almost 15 years old. When I called PetSmart in Parma I was told, “We did not force her to sign the contract.” How RUDE and impersonal!! I understand the insurance paid for the service that was performed, but after paying for this insurance for 13 years and upgrading only 17 days before needing to cancel, why PetSmart nor Banfield Pet Insurance didn’t offer some type of compromise.

They gave my dog the wrong medication, charged my daughters cc ( on-file ) for it, without a signature ( masking the unauthorized purchase). When they returned my call, the person was very rude in the way she responded to my concerns. She stated that the computer had a glitch, and that’s why they gave me the wrong medicine which caused us to be charged higher than we normally have had to pay, then continues to say, “that it happens all the time now since utilizing a newer system, and I was the third customer today that this happened to.” Told me to bring it back if I dont want it, and told me if it’s a problem and if I was not satisfied with her response that I’m free to take my dog somewhere else, even though I’d still be responsible for his monthly plan.” I pray that we get through the rest of this year with him being in great health, because I will definately opt out of this yearly waste of money next April.

Everyone is amazing there! The doctor is the best I have ever had for my dog. He usually is scared but let's her do job and trusts her. Thank you everyone at Banfield your the best.
