Front desk staff are horrid when there is the slightest hiccup in pet care. They accept no accountability for mistakes. - My dog had a cancerous tumor removed by this clinic a few years ago, and when surgery was done, their calls were not going through to my cell phone. I had no issues with anyone else calling my phone. I was also at work and couldn't just leave to drive to the clinic. I called them throughout the day (which was affecting my work) to see what was happening with my pup, and could not reach anyone, and was sent to voicemail. You would think if you can't reach an owner, and you see their number on caller ID when they are calling, maybe answer the phone? I had my husband call, and they answered, and said that surgery went well and my pup was ready to come home. - When I went into the office, I was understandably already upset. Clearly this is a phone issue on their end. They doubled down that my phone was the issue, even when I demonstrated in the office that my phone does not ring when only they try to call me. They also did not have an alternate contact on file, even though one was provided. What clinic doesn't ensure they have an alternate contact when a pet goes in for surgery? What if something had gone wrong? - They accepted zero accountability for what happened, and one woman at the front desk offered a sarcastic (yes, sarcastic) "I'm sorry." Completely unacceptable and cruel. Dr. Fogel apologized, but the damage was already done. And ultimately, he is responsible for what happens at his clinic. - Do yourself a favor - spend the extra money, and just go to Metro.
