When our Lab woke on a Saturday morning with a tumor starting to break his skin, we called Village. It wasn't during work hours, but the doctor still met us at the office to euthanize him, on her own time.

I had to make the heartbreaking decision to euthanize my elderly cat, Pepper, and unfortunately my experience with Dr. Rice made an already devastating situation even more traumatic. From the beginning, Dr. Rice was cold and expressionless. There was no empathy, no acknowledgment that this might be one of the hardest decisions a pet owner can make. After administering a sedative, she left the room while it took effect. During that time, an assistant came in to collect payment before the euthanasia was completed, which felt incredibly insensitive. While we were alone, Pepper began gasping for air, and I was panicked with no doctor present. When Dr. Rice returned, she attempted to administer the euthanasia injection but struggled to find a vein, resulting in multiple attempts while my cat was still visibly gasping. I was crying, and instead of showing compassion, she asked me if I understood that pepper didn’t know what was going on. She was dismissive. She then suggested using an ultrasound and a different needle, which was confusing and overwhelming in that moment. When I said I didn’t want Pepper to continue being poked repeatedly, she took her out of the room to complete the procedure elsewhere. We were not invited to be present for her final moments. She returned shortly after with my cat already gone. We were not given the chance to be with Pepper during her last breath. There was a complete lack of compassion, communication, and dignity throughout the entire process. This experience was deeply upsetting and not how any pet owner should have to say goodbye.

Had to take a friends dog to be cremated. They were very helpful and friendly. They made the process very fast and simple but at the same time respectful of our loss. The receptionist was very friendly and pleasant to talk with. I would recommend these guys to any one.
