My 13 year old cat has arthritis, and the doctor recommended that we put him on Solensia. She told us that it would be $49.20 per injection, once a month, and even wrote that price on the pamphlet she had us take home. Money is very tight for me but I agreed because that price wasn't horrible and my cat deserves to feel his best. Fast forward to Friday, I'm billed $95 for his visit, and am told that his medication is either $88 or $83 per injection. If I had known this I would've held off until I had more money, but now that he's started the injections, it feels cruel to take him off of them. I really don't understand why the doctor told me the medication was half of what it actually is. That seems extremely unprofessional.

UPDATE- I took my dog to another vet, she ended up having cancer and now she’s dead. Thank you for the misdiagnosis, if My dog would have been diagnosed correctly the first time she may still be here. Dr. Messner is horrendous, and the worst veterinarian I have ever had an experience with. She is very rude, she spoke over me and didn’t listen to any of concerns , and the worst part is she completely misdiagnosed my dog. I will never take another animal here ever again.
