Dangerous dosing error and zero communication/follow-up. I am writing this review to warn other pet owners, particularly those with puppies. I recently sought a trazodone prescription for my 7-month-old, 20-pound French Bulldog to help manage his reactivity ahead of a planned trip. This vet prescribed 100mg tablets, with instructions to give 1 to 1.5 tablets per dose. During our second trial run, we gave the full 1.5-tablet dose (150mg). My puppy immediately became restless and suffered from distressing body twitching that lasted for several hours. After consulting with a new veterinary clinic, I learned that 150mg is an incredibly excessive, dangerous dose for a 20-pound puppy. What makes this experience entirely unacceptable is the complete lack of care and communication. When my puppy began experiencing adverse side effects after hours, I immediately emailed the clinic desperately seeking guidance. It has been over a week, and I have received absolutely no response, no follow-up, and no apology. A veterinary clinic that makes severe dosing errors and completely abandons their patients when a crisis occurs cannot be trusted. We will never be returning.
