*Edit- I am adding this clarification in response to the practice stating they have no record of treating our dog under my name. Carlos’s records and billing were under my husband’s name, Curtis, not mine. This practice did treat Carlos on many occasions over several months, which is reflected in billing statements issued by the office. We also received a sympathy card from this practice following his passing (pics below). I am dismayed that this practice is still eluding to the fact that they did not treat Carlos- very unethical. I would recommend a different veterinary practice. We brought our dog, Carlos, to this practice multiple times over several months for ongoing loss of appetite and progressive decline. Despite repeated visits, his care focused primarily on steroid treatment, and the underlying cause was not identified or adequately investigated. During this time, we also sought care at a separate emergency clinic, but they mainly worked to stabilize him. When Carlos was later examined at another hospital, two large cancerous growths in the anal region were found in under 15 minutes. We were told that if this had been identified earlier, surgery could have led to a full recovery. By the time the cancer was discovered, Carlos had not eaten for nearly a week despite multiple office visits and an emergency visit, and he was too weak for treatment. His condition worsened over time, yet there was no meaningful escalation of care or diagnostic follow-through. Based on our experience, we do not recommend this practice and believe pet owners should seek care elsewhere.
